Location: McGill University
Leacock Building

Date: April 10th, 2008 from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
About the rendez-vous protéomique 2008

Proteomics is an increasingly exploited resource in an arsenal of molecular biology technologies. The study of biomarkers and comparative biology of complex systems present enormous challenges for researchers. This scientific Rendez-vous is intended for cell biologists, biochemists and clinicians interested in technologies and applications related to proteomics.

The Rendez-Vous Protéomique 2008 will address how proteomics can meet these challenges using robust applications and validated solutions in areas of research as diverse as complex diseases and the environment. Topics covered will be:

  • Cellular fractionation and sample preparation
  • Protein separation and enrichment methods
  • Protein/peptides identification methods and biomarker discovery
  • Quantitative proteomics

Keynote Speaker: Prof. Jérôme Garin
Director of Laboratoire d'Étude de la Dynamique des Protéomes
Université de Grenoble, France.
